US Government is Banning TikTok?

TikTok has been a popular social media platform in the US. More than 170 million people registered as users and creators for the Chinese company, ByteDance app.

Privacy concern has been the ultimate issue for the US Government regarding the TikTok saga. On the other side, the app creator had denied the allegation of misused data or exploitation.

Vice President of the US, Kamala Harris, however told 'This Week' by ABC that banning TikTok is "not at all the goal or the purpose of this conversation". US urged the senate to advance a bill that force Bytedance to sell the app to the states, which is (undoubtedly, and firmly) refused by the company. And that's why US wanted to ban them instead.

On the other hand, TikTok users in the states are against this idea. They think that banning TikTok is equal to threatening 170 million people's free speech. Moreover, they believe they have the awareness of not sharing personal data on the app. So, what's your take on this issue?
